Kier, Laing O’Rourke and Wates have landed a £225m prison-building contract with the Ministry of Justice (MoJ).
The trio has been appointed to provide 1,200 new prison places across the UK with a focus on spatial efficiency, carbon reduction and rehabilitation.
The firms are all adding to their prison workloads, having already joined with ISG to deliver an additional 6,000 new prison spaces in the separate Alliance 4 New Prisons (A4NP) programme.
Although ISG is not involved in the latest scheme, CN understands the firm is set to be confirmed as the sole delivery partner in ano
